2020/21 Admissions Consultation Outcome
Outcome of consultation for changes to admissions criteria for 2020/21 onwards
The Governors at Christ’s School have now completed their consultation regarding the School’s admissions policy for 2020/21. This report represents the outcome of the consultation, which ran from 20 December 2018 until 31 January 2019. The following recipients were invited to participate:
Parents, Staff and Governors of Christ’s School
Local Authorities in Richmond and Kingston and surrounding boroughs
Governing bodies at all maintained primary and secondary schools in Richmond and Kingston
Southwark Diocesan Board of Education
The consultation covered the following changes:
The wording has been simplified to provide clarity of priority given to those applicants with Education Health and Care Plans, Looked After and Previously Looked After Children and those applying under Exceptional Social Medical criteria
The Oversubscription criteria has been amended to clarify that these criteria apply to both Christian Foundation (and all associated sub-categories) and Open applicants
The sibling definition has been amended to reflect the commonly used definition across Richmond Borough.
Consultees were invited to send us their comments on the proposal, and a copy of the full proposed 2020/21 policy was published on the School’s website throughout the consultation period.
The Governing Body at Christ’s School would like to thank everyone who responded to the consultation and would like to communicate the outcome. All of the changes proposed during the consultation have now been incorporated and a copy of our determined Admissions Arrangements for 2020/21 for Years 7-11 can be found below.
