Outstanding provision to prepare students for the next stage in their education or training - Ofsted

YEAR 7 2021

Applications for a place in Year 7 September 2021 will open in September 2020. For the academic year beginning September 2021 we will have 150 places available in Year 7. Entry into Year 7 can be via a Foundation place (50 places), which requires church attendance, or via an Open place (100 places). All applications for Year 7 places at Christ's School must be made via the eAdmissions website. In addition, if you are applying for a Foundation place, you will need to complete a Foundation Supplementary Information Form and get your minister to complete a Ministerial Reference Form. Both of these need to be returned to Karen Hindle at Christ's School. To find out more, please read our Admissions Policy document and visit the Richmond Borough School Admission website.

COVID-19 Pandemic Amendment to Admission Arrangements for 2021-22

The governing body of Christ's School, Richmond has agreed the following amendment to its determined Admission Arrangements for 2021/22 in order to clarify how its faith-based oversubscription criteria will be interpreted whilst churches are closed or attendance at church is unsafe due to COVID- 19:

If a parent/ carer attended a given church prior to the closing of churches for public worship, then where a parent/ carer has not subsequently attended worship at a given church for a given period a parent/ carer will be considered to have attended worship at that church for that period where either of the following apply:

a) the church was closed for public worship;

b) by returning to church the parent/carer would not be taking account of government guidance concerning shielding and protecting persons either moderately or extremely clinically vulnerable to COVID-19.
