Christ's Celebrates Another Year of Fantastic GCSE Results

Photo 1There was joy and delight at Christ’s School this morning as students celebrated fantastic GCSE results. Over one-quarter of all grades were awarded at 9-7 and there were particular successes in Mathematics, History, French, Spanish, Citizenship and Art where Christ’s School students achieved over one-third of top grades (9-7).

We are particularly delighted with the outstanding results of Ella Davies who achieved 7 top 9 grades and 2 7s, Rhianna Sookhy with 6 grade 9s and 4 8s and Stefan Savvanis-Nasiotis with 6 grade 9s, 3 8s, 1 A and a 7. Ella is delighted with her results and can’t wait to get started in the Sixth Form at Christ’s.

Img 5294Helen Dixon, Head Teacher at Christ's School said "I would like to congratulate all of our students on their results. I am delighted that our relentless drive for excellence is paying dividends. These results are a credit to our students’ hard work, the quality and commitment of all of our staff and the strong relationships that exist between the School and home".

These results come after yet another year of improved A level results with over 24% of students achieved A*/A grades, 59% gained A*-B grades and an overall pass rate of 100%.  There was success across all subjects with English Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry and Computer Science achieving over one-third A*-A grades.
