Delight as GCSE Results Buck National Trend

Dscf8541Christ’s School is again celebrating exam success with outstanding GCSE results. Bucking the national average, a record one third of students achieved the new 9-7 or A*-A grades compared to 20% nationally. Overall, 25% of students achieved 5 or more 9-7 or A*-A grades. 15% of students achieved a grade 9 in the new tougher English or Mathematics exams. There were particular successes in French, Spanish and History.

Commenting on the results, Helen Dixon, Head Teacher at Christ's School said "I would like to congratulate all of our students on these fantastic results. I am delighted that our relentless drive for excellence is paying dividends with 10 subjects increasing their percentage of A*-A (9-7) grades and 7 subjects achieving over 90% A*-C (9-4) grades. These results are a credit to our students’ hard work, the quality and commitment of all of our staff and the strong relationships that exist between the School and home".

Stephen“We are particularly delighted with the outstanding results of Molly Taylor who achieved 9 A*s and 1 A grade, Sabrina Robinson with 8 A*s and 2 As and Stephen Frank and Ned Knight with 7 A*s and 3 As each.”

Rowan Woodward, Vice Chair of Governors at Christ’s School applauded the efforts and hard work of the students, staff and governors and thanked parents for their continued support for the school and their children’s education.
