Exam Results 2016

In 2016 Christ’s School students once again celebrated exam success with outstanding GCSE and A Level results.

GCSE Results

Overall, 78% of students achieved 5 A* - C GCSEs. This represents an 8% increase on 2015. 28% of students achieved A*-A grades and 25% of students achieved 5 or more A*-A grades. There were particular successes in English Language, Spanish, Statistics, Religious Education, Art & Design and Physical Education. The full GCSE breakdown can be seen in the table below.

NON GCSE RESULTS

  • 41% of all students achieved the English Baccalaureate 
  • 77% of students made expected progress in English
  • 77% of students made expected progress in Maths

A Level Results

Christ’s School celebrated exam success in its inaugural A Level results. Overall, 21% of students got A*-A, 54% of students achieved A*-B grades and 81% achieved A*-C grades. There were particular successes in Maths, Chemistry, Politics and Spanish.

These outstanding results mean that 98% of our students will be studying at university or other further Education institutes, with over 90% going to one of their top two university choices. The full A Level breakdown can be seen in the table below.

  • 90% of students achieved three or more A Levels at grade A*- E
  • 13% of students achieved AAB or higher
