We really like Christ's School but don't attend church. Can we still apply?

At Christ's School we welcome applications from all members of the community. If you do not attend church, you do not need to complete a Supplementary Information Form. Your application will be ranked according to our Open Criterion, of which distance from home to school is the determining factor. Find out more about how to apply here.

How far does your catchment area reach?

We do not have a fixed catchment area. The home to school distance to the furthest place offered varies each year. To find our more about home to school distances over the last three years, visit our Admissions page.

Which languages do you offer?

In Year 7 all students learn both French and Spanish for the first half term. After this students choose their preferred language which they will study throughout the remainder of year 7 and in years 8 and 9.

How do you challenge more able students?

At Christ's we have an able and ambitious programme to challenge our most able students. Our Able & Ambitious policy was created to ensure the highest outcomes for our brightest and most ambitious students.

Our programme for supporting and challenging our Able & Ambitious students is multifaceted and centres on the highest quality teaching in every lesson ensuring every student is challenged. In addition to this, all subject areas provide opportunity outside of the classroom to challenge their Able & Ambitious students through Trips, guest lectures, programmes of study and more. Find out more here.

Do you set students for lessons?

Unlike some other local schools, we do not stream. We do, however, set in Maths from Year 7 and Science from Year 9.
