🚀 Out of this world! Half of Year 8 spent an incredible Enrichment Day exploring the @ScienceMuseum today. 🌌 The absolute highlight? Catching the breathtaking IMAX film A Beautiful Planet, which gave our students a stunning, astronaut’s-eye view of our home planet. 🌍✨ We love seeing our students dive into science with so much curiosity and enthusiasm. Last weekend, our students embarked on their DofE expedition, and it was a fantastic success! 🗺️⛺ The kids absolutely smashed it, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience, worked incredibly hard, and showed outstanding teamwork to conquer every challenge along the way. A massive well done to our fantastic KS3 and KS4 dance teams who put on an unforgettable display at last week's London youth games in Stratford! Our amazing students performed daring, emotional and very difficult routines to perfection and won awards for most creative and most technical routines! A massive shoutout to Kaziah and Alyssa for coaching, choreographing and being such inspirations to our students. A big well done again to our amazing dancers!

Science in Action! Last week, a group of our fantastic Year 9 students headed into central London to visit the Royal Society’s Summer Science Exhibition. They had the incredible opportunity to meet leading university scientists and researchers, diving into cutting-edge topics from nanomaterials in healthcare to exploring the mysteries of the dark universe! CERN trip day 3: We started the day by visiting the History or Science Museum and then went to the botanical gardens. After lunch, we cooled down in a local shopping centre. We have just arrived at the airport and checked in. We will keep the parents updated in terms of plane boarding and arrival times.

We've had a busy day on the year 8 French trip with a visit to Mont Saint Michel and the market in Avranches. The students are currently trying to find items at the Chateau taking part in La grande trouvaille.

Year 8 French Trip: We're reaching the end of our first very long day ( it started at 3:30am this morning). We're all settled into the chateau and have been enjoying the facilities. The kids have been great and we're hoping they will sleep well tonight. More photos to follow tomorrow.

Y12 had their first full day of fieldwork up in the Welsh mountains yesterday, following the path of prehistoric glaciers from the highlands, to the beach lowlands. Day 2 at CERN did not disappoint! 🚀✨ ​Our tour guide was a brilliant engineer who spent 38 years designing particle accelerators at CERN. Safe to say, our students kept him busy with an endless stream of questions! 🧠💬 ​Highlights from today: ​The Antimatter Factory: We got up close with ELENA (Extra Low Energy Antiproton Ring), a fully functional particle decelerator. Yes, antimatter is real, and it’s mind-blowing. 🤯 ​The Data Centre: We stood in the birthplace of the World Wide Web! The students loved learning how it was originally created right here at CERN to help global scientists share data. 🌐 ​A Timeless Afternoon: After a quick refuel at the Big Bang Café, we shifted gears from physics to horology at the Patek Philippe Museum, checking out their incredible new "50 Years of Nautilus Watches" exhibition. ⏱️ ​An absolutely unforgettable day of science, history, and culture. #CERN #STEM #SixthForm #physics #Alevels

CERN Trip: Day 1! 🚀 Our students have officially arrived in Switzerland and had a fantastic first afternoon getting settled at the Geneva Hostel. Here’s a quick look at how we kicked off the trip: 🍕 Late Lunch: Fueled up with a delicious meal at a local Italian restaurant. 🌅 Scenic Walk: Strolled along beautiful Lake Geneva and explored the winding streets of the historic Old Town. 🧠 Rest & Prep: After dinner, students enjoyed some free time to relax and get a good night's sleep.
