Christ's School are National Champions

68457CAC 18FA 4CE2 A93D 2C5C78425757Christ's School, Richmond are national basketball champions after the Under 14 team were victorious at the U14 Dynamik National Schools Basketball Finals in Manchester on Thursday 30th March. We are delighted to have won this prestigious national competition for the fourth time in seven years.

The fantastic co-ed team were triumphant after beating St Bonaventures School, Newham at the Manchester Performance Centre. The final was an end to end affair but Christ's School held on to be crowned Under 14 champions. 

On route to the final Christ's overcame a very difficult group before going on to beat Whitgift School in the quarter finals and Copleston High School, Ipswich in the semis.

Mr Smith congratulated the team, saying "this achievement is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team and our fantastic coach, Isaac from Richmond Knights. We, as a school, are extremely proud to have the best under 14 basketball team in the whole country. With this win, the team has created a real legacy".

Coach Isaac, of Richmond Knights, who has coached the team throughout the year added, "A lot of sacrifice has gone into achieving this and we are so proud to have brought another Championship back to Christ's School".
