Your PTA Needs You

The PTA are looking for volunteers to help manage and run a number of the very successful and important events throughout 2016/ 2017. The current PTA members have been managing the events programme for the last 4 years and would now like to hand over to other volunteers.

Christ's Annual Fireworks evening has been running for 11 years now, and has become an integral part of Richmond community's festivities, helping to connect us with, and promote us to, local families. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year.

We are also looking for people to organise the 2017 Quiz evening, and the 2017 May Fair. Ideally we would like to have teams of people who help to organise particular events, so that the burden does not fall on the same people all the time.

Helping out with PTA events is a great way to connect with other parents, make new friends and be involved in the life of the school. A vibrant parent/ carer community helps to generate a sense of pride and belonging, and the money raised helps to create a better environment and more opportunities for our students, for example from the landscaping project, to table tennis tables, drama equipment, library books and other sporting equipment.

You can find out more about the PTA here. If you would like to find out more about how you can help, please contact the current PTA Treasurer, Rowan Woodward at rowan@oddbod.org.uk.
