Ofsted Announcement

Dear Parents/ Carers

Following our recent Ofsted Inspection, I am delighted to announce that Christ’s School has been awarded a Good judgement, using the new assessment framework.

Since 2015 schools have been assessed by Ofsted using a much more demanding and rigorous framework, therefore I am particularly pleased that Christ’s has performed so strongly in every criteria. In recognition of our values of Love, Justice and Peace I am thrilled that our work to ‘promote pupils’ personal development’ has been judged as ‘outstanding’ and ‘the level of care and support for all pupils is of the highest standard’.

Reflecting our culture of ambition for every student, Ofsted recognised that ‘teachers have high expectations of their pupils’ and, as a result, ‘attainment is high’ with ‘pupils attainment at the highest grades strong in a variety of subjects’.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support for the School. The number of parents and carers who responded to the questionnaire issued by Ofsted was high and even impressed the inspectors!  Ofsted stated that parents spoke ‘very highly of the school’ and ‘responses were very positive’.

The Ofsted Inspection follows our SIAMS Inspection earlier in 2016 where Christ’s was recognised as Outstanding. Both reports reflect the hard work that everyone involved with the school puts in on a daily basis to ensure that our students develop into mature and responsible adults.

As a school we are highly ambitious, continually striving for excellence for our whole community, therefore we are delighted that our latest Ofsted report represents another step on our journey to achieving this.

The full inspection report can be read here.
