Consultation regarding Admissions Arrangements for 2025-26
The Governing Body at Christ’s School would like to change the admissions criteria for entry into Years 7-11 from 2025/26 onwards. The changes proposed to the criteria are detailed below.
Years 7-11 Admissions Criteria
-
The maximum number of places allocated for Christian Foundation applicants will be increased from 50 to 60. The minimum number of Open applicants will become 90 in order to maintain a Published Admission Number of 150. This decision has been taken by the Governing Body, following analysis of application data over the past three years, in order to ensure that Christ’s School continues to meet the preferences of as many Foundation student as possible
-
The definition of Exceptional Need has been expanded to provide more clarity and examples of where an application is unlikely to meet the threshold for Exceptional Need set by the Governing Body at Christ’s School
-
The Christian Foundation Supplementary Information Form has been amended to make it clear that only those forms submitted with Ministerial Reference completed by the religious leader will be considered by the Governing Body to meet the attendance criteria specified within the oversubscription criteria.
