Scholars Programme

Scholars Programme Co-ordinator – Mr T SMITH (Assistant Head Teacher)

Each year a small number of students participate in The Brilliant Club’s Scholars Programme. This opportunity enables students to study a specialist topic from a PhD student, through university style lectures and seminars from a Russel Group university. Topics are varied a range from Physics to English Literate and focus on the expertise of the PhD student to allow a bespoke and challenging programme for our students.

Students partake in University visits, group seminars and 1on1 support to enable them to complete a piece of work to a university standard. Students who pass the course are invited to a graduation ceremony at an illustrious university.

This programme gives our students the opportunity to experience what is would be like to study at university, and understand the academic rigours this entails. It is an incredibly inspirational programme to be part of.

Opportunities for specific year groups are available, with information being given out at relevant times to enable students to write a statement declaring their interest. These are then assessed and a small number of students are chosen.
