Sixth Form Entrance Criteria
ENTRANCE CRITERIA 2022 - 2023
ENTRANCE FOR A LEVELS
Minimum 5 GCSE Grade 5-9 with an average GCSE point score of 5+. In addition you need to achieve Grade 6+ in the subjects you wish to study*.
The following subject specific criteria will also apply:
- Grade 7-9 for Maths
- Grade 8-9 for Further Maths
- Grade 6 English Language and English Literature to study English Literature at A Level
- Grade 6 in the Science Module you wish to study
- If you would like to study A Level Physics, you must also study A Level Mathematics
*If you wish to study a subject you did not take at GCSE but are proficient and believe you have the base knowledge and understanding to study at post-16 standard, please discuss your suitability at the interview stage.
ENTRANCE TO BTEC LEVEL 3
Minimum 5 GCSE Grade 4-9 plus keen interest in the subject area you want to study.
Progression from Year 12 to Year 13
Students must gain at least an E grade in end of year exams in order to progress to year 13 in that subject.
