Get Involved

We welcome involvement in our Career Programme from parents, members of the community, employers, training providers and Further and Higher Education Institutes.

Listed below are some of the ways you can get involved. Please email Mrs Alex Holmes, Career Leader and KS5 Progression Coordinator or call 020 8940 6982 ext 604 for further information

Career Carousel Events

These "Speed-networking" events are a great way for students to learn about a wide-range of careers.  Volunteers have the chance to talk to small groups of students for typically 5 minutes about their job and career, with time for students to ask questions. Students rotate through at least 8 volunteers per event. Events usually take place over a morning or an afternoon.

Career Insight Talks

These talks usually take place in Assemblies or at lunch time.  Volunteers usually speak to students for 20 minutes to and hour about their jobs, careers, educational pathways or skills.

Mock Interviews

These sessions help students to practice their interview skills in a supportive but realistic environment. Great for volunteers who have first hand experience of recruitment.  Sessions usually take place over a morning or afternoon with volunteers working with 5 - 6 students per session.

Workplace Visits

These are a great way for students to gain insight into the world of work by experiencing a workplace environment.  Visits are usually for small groups of students for a morning or an afternoon. However, we are happy to discuss opportunities for larger groups or for work experience placements.
